Homework 5-31- THE END OF THE YEAR! :)

Happy Tuesday! We are coming into the last few days of school! I can't believe it! I am so proud of each and every one of my students. The homework for the rest of the year will include reading nightly. I would definitely recommend going on Dreambox and practicing math facts nightly, but reading is top priority!

Report cards will go home on the last day of school, June 8th. Inside the envelope, I will enclose login information for both Raz-Kids and Dreambox so that your child can practice over the break. I highly recommend having them consistently login over summer to keep their skills sharp! :)

Tomorrow is our field day, so please see my note that went home last week to ensure that your child is ready and dressed accordingly. If you are interested in helping out by bringing Big Stick Popsicles, please let me know so that I know how many I need to purchase myself. If you are able to donate popsicles, please send them to school with your child tomorrow. Lastly, your child may bring a towel for tomorrow. They will not be getting wet, but then they can use it to take a seat on the field if they would like. If you have any questions, please let me know!

We are approaching the end of the school year! We have a couple things planned and one of them is a Third Grade Field Day. We will have field games from 8am-11am on Wednesday, June 1st. 

I would love to have 1-2 volunteers to help carry out some of the games, so if you are interested in helping, please just text me on the Remind App. I will take the first two that respond. I am only taking 2 because we will be out on the field with the other 3rd grade classes and I want to give the parents in those classes a chance  to volunteer, as well. I haven't decided what our "station" will be, but I will think of something fun. More info to come!

It was so nice seeing all of you at Open House today. I hope you are proud of the hard work your child has been putting in this year! I am planning on having a schedule up by early next week of events that will be occurring towards the end of the year. Some of those events include a classroom fort/pajama party (if our class can earn those marbles ;) ) and a 3rd grade field day. More information to come!

Hello! The homework tonight is reading (20 minutes) and Dreambox. If you are having computer troubles and can't get to a computer for Dreambox, please have your child practice their math facts at home with you orally.

Tomorrow is Open House! It will be held in the morning between 7am-7:40am. I really look forward to seeing you there so you can see all of the hard work your child has been doing recently! :)

All I can say is THANK YOU! I am so blown away by the level of generosity in this group this week. Thank you for all the flowers, chocolate, fruit, gifts, coffee, notes, everything! I am so lucky to teach these group of students every day and beyond thankful for a great group of parents. I don't know how I got so lucky! Thank you for being supportive and allowing me to feel appreciated this week and every week this year.

Reading

I sent home a practice test for fractions. We have already taken the mid-module test previously, but this is for the whole fraction unit test. Please have your child ATTEMPT these at home tonight for homework. If they don't understand a question, please have them circle it and we will review the whole test tomorrow in class. Then, they can take their completed (and corrected) practice test tomorrow night to be ready for the test Friday. This is NOT graded, but will definitely help them prepare for the test.
