Homework 10/8/15

Happy Thursday! The homework tonight is math and spelling. I have attached the math worksheet as homework, but they will come home with their own copy to complete. My goal is for students to become fluent in these math facts, so I am trying to teach them strategies to find the answer. For example, if they know that 3 x 3 is 9, then they should be able to easily figure out 3 x 4, since the answer would be 9 + another 3 to get 12. We have talked about this in class, but I thought it would be helpful for you to know! The spelling homework tonight is for students to sort their words and write them 3 times each. Forget the "Thursday nightly spelling homework" page to the right. I would rather them sort their words and practice writing them for the test tomorrow! Yes, there WILL be a spelling test tomorrow!
